Trace Label Object For Free

Traceability labels play an important role in keeping track of products throughout the supply chain. Whether you sell baby products, computer parts, or consumable goods, chances are you'll need to keep track of product batches, factory sources, manufacturing dates, and more.

Labels are key-value pairs that can be used on Google Cloud to group related or associated resources. For example, on Compute Engine, you can use labels to group VMs in categories such as production, staging, or development so that you can search for resources that belong to each development stage.

If you are using the Cloud Trace API V1, you can add labels, which are key-value pairs, by using the labels field in the Cloud Trace API TraceSpan object. If you are using the Cloud Trace API V2, you can add information by with an Attributes object. For more information, see Add event annotations to trace spans.

Open the Manage resources page in the Google Cloud console. On the Manage resources page, select the projects for which you want to add labels. In the info panel, in the Labels tab, click + Add label and enter a label key and value for each label you want to add. When you're finished adding labels, click Save.

Tagging with GCP Both keys and values have a maximum length of 63 characters. Keys and values can contain: lowercase letters, numeric characters, underscores and hyphens. You are able to use international characters. Label keys must start with a lowercase letter.

Traceability labels & tags Traceability labels and tags are used across many industry sectors to trace ingredients, parts or samples through a manufacturing or testing process. The food industry in particular uses different labels and tags as part of their traceability systems.
