Regulate Comment Voucher For Free

Your voucher is pre-populated with information entered on your authorization; therefore you must have an approved authorization to create a voucher. DTS allows you to create a voucher prior to or during your TDY travel, but you cannot sign the document until your travel is complete.

Once approved, the payment system will release the funds. Your voucher has been released for payment. Please allow 3-5 business days for your payment to be reflected in your account.

On the My Travel Documents page, locate the trip. Select the options (3-dots icon) beside the document that you need to change (Figure 1, Indicator 2). Then choose Create Amendment. A pop-up appears (Figure 4), so you can enter comments about the reason for the amendment.

Once approved, the payment system will release the funds. Step 5: Your voucher has been released for payment. Your payment was approved and released by our payment system. The funds should be available within 3-5 business days.

Note 1: You can't delete a lodging expense from the Reservation Expenses section if you reserved the lodging through DTS. You must update the lodging cost on the Adjust Per Diem Amounts screen. To get there, select Per Diem on the Progress Bar, then select Adjust Per Diem Amounts.

Check document status by logging in to DTS. Go to "Official Travel" vouchers or authorization, and then look in the "Sort by Status" column. Or, go to the digital signature page within the document. If you can't access to DTS, contact your Defense Travel Administrator (DTA) to check the status of your document.

A: You can expect to receive the money 5-7 business days from the date of the request as long as you are within 30 days of PCSing.

On average, travelers receive payment less than three days after their Authorizing Official (AO) approves their voucher.
