Starting in 2020, LSAC started making Score Preview available to LSAT test-takers, but you can only do it once. Score Preview allows you to view your LSAT score before deciding to keep or cancel it.

You will find that most law schools look at the higher or highest LSAT test score for applicants with multiple scores. However, applicants should keep in mind that Admissions Committee members will see all scores and may be negatively influenced by a large number of tests or a downward trend in scores.

Test takers who purchase Score Preview will receive their score at the same time as other test takers (assuming they have an approved LSAT Writing sample on file and have no holds on their accounts), and will have six (6) calendar days to decide if they want to cancel or keep their score.

Consider how many times you have taken the LSAT , and whether or not you have the extra cash lying around. Score Preview is not a consequence-free option but it will give you a birds eye view (and six days to make up your mind), even though it does not necessarily deliver a clear advantage.

Canceled LSAT scores from the applicable time window will also count toward your limit, but absences and withdrawals will not.

Canceling Your Score With Score Preview of your LSAC online account or by contacting LSAC directly at LSACinfo@LSAC.org or 1.800. 336.3982. If you take no action by the end of the six-day period, your score will be added to your LSAC file and released to the law schools to which you have applied.

We've already developed a general sense of LSAT score percentiles from some of the common score thresholds above (160: 80th percentile; 165: 90th percentile; 170: 97-98th percentile, and 174: 99th percentile).

Although schools no longer average LSAT scores, a drop could look bad. In general, however, canceling your score will not look suspicious. Adcoms don't really care about a single cancellation, even if it's after a recorded LSAT score.

You have six calendar days from the day you took the LSAT to let LSAC know if you want to cancel your score.
