Form Initials Document For Free

Initials are the capital letters which begin each word of a name. For example, if your full name is Michael Dennis Stocks, your initials will be M. D. S.

Generally, you use the first letter of your first and the first letter of your last name as your initials, but you can also include the first letter of your middle name or maiden name, or more than one letter from one of the names (e.g. someone with the last name DiAmico using both D and A).

The initial is a marking on the end of the page. For physical documentation, it is done by ink. Much like a signature, the initial is not something generic but rather, exclusive to the individual using it. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Quick Parts, and then click Save Selection to Quick Part Gallery. In the Create New Building Block dialog box, type a name for your signature block. In the Gallery list, click AutoText. Click OK.

From above, the major difference is that a signature is normally written in full. This means a signature could be written to capture the full name of a person. On the other hand, initials are just a letter from a name usually the first letter of a name.

If someone asks you to initial a form, they're asking you to sign by writing your initials on it. If your name is Inna Instant, you would write I.I., and you'd probably write it really quick!

Click the ?Insert? tab if it is not already showing. Click the ?Text Box? button and choose ?Simple Text Box? from the fly-down menu. Word inserts a text box onto the page. Click inside the placeholder text and type your initials.

As far as I know an initial is just the first letter of a name,written in capital letter : L in Laura, V in Victor. I suppose that I should write my complete first name (for sure they wont be guessing among lots of applications).
