Drop-down menu is also called as a drop-down list, pull-down menu, pull-down list, or drop-down box. It is used to show a list of options that allows you to select one option from the list based on your requirement.

To use this, select an empty cell directly underneath your data and right click. From the resulting menu select the Pick From Drop-down List option. Now you have a one time use drop down list to select from based on all the data directly above.

Create a drop-down list Select the cells that you want to contain the lists. On the ribbon, click DATA > Data Validation. In the dialog, set Allow to List.
