Edit Table Permit For Free

Click Edit Document > Edit in Word for the web to make changes to a document. When you open a document from OneDrive, Word for the web displays it in Reading view. To make changes to your document, switch to Editing view, where you can add and delete content and do other things, such as: Add tables and pictures.

On the Review tab, in the Protect group, click Restrict Editing. In the Editing restrictions area, select the Allow only this type of editing in the document check box. In the list of editing restrictions, click No changes (Read only). Select the part of the document where you want to allow changes.

Select the File tab. Select Info, choose Protect Document, point to Restrict Permission by People, and then select Restricted Access. In the Permissions dialog box, select Restrict permission to this document, and then assign the access levels that you want for each user.

Format the text in your table of contents Go to References > Table of Contents > Custom Table of Contents. Select Modify.In the Styles list, click the level that you want to change and then click Modify. In the Modify Style pane make your changes. Select OK to save changes.

The author of the Word document has restricted editing of the document. Protected View mode might be enabled. More than one user might have opened the same document on a shared network. The file format of the document isn't compatible with Microsoft Office.

In the Paragraph group on the Home tab. Find the TA field for the entry that you want to modify. To edit or format a table of authorities entry, change the text inside the quotation marks. To update the table of authorities, click to the left of the table of authorities and press F9.

Unlock a protected document On the Review tab, in the Protect group, click Restrict Editing. In the Restrict Editing task pane, click Stop Protection. If you are prompted to provide a password, type the password.
