Teams signing their first-round Draft picks to standard rookie-scale contracts. All contracts for draft choices are four years. Each pick in the draft has a salary floor and ceiling in the first year and over the four years of the contract. There are very few negotiable items with rookie contracts anymore.

From the incoming 2022 NFL Draft class, rookies will make a minimum $705,000 this year. This is a $45,000 increase from last year, an agreement the league will continue through 2030 when the minimum rookie contract value will reach $1,065,000.
