Deposit Seal Document For Free

The seal is used to execute a legal document or guarantee the document's authenticity. A seal is unique to a sealer and is used by government agencies, corporations and notaries public to show that the document is validly executed, acknowledged or witnessed.

Petitions to file a case under seal or using a fictitious name may be emailed to Judge Flannery's law clerk at law.cal2005cc@cookcountyil.gov. To file a case under seal, email law.cal2005cc@cookcountyil.gov.

Unless there is already a Protective Order or an Order to Seal which allows this specific document to be sealed, you will be required to file a Motion to Seal this document. The Motion to Seal must be filed immediately after filing the sealed document.

To submit a civil complaint for filing under seal, present the motion for leave to file under seal (See LR 79.3(b)), complaint, and all subsequent filings to the Clerk's Office on paper. (A case filed pursuant to the False Claims Act 31, U.S.C. § 3730(b) does not require a motion for leave to file under seal.)

Must Obtain Court Order Before Filing Under Seal New Jersey District Local Rule 5.3 requires that parties obtain a court order before filing any documents under seal. The order must be sought by a single consolidated noticed motion and must be filed electronically within 14 days following the completed briefing.

Filing a document ?under seal? is a way that a document's information can be kept hidden for a specified period. Documents under seal may be placed in an envelope and stored somewhere secure such as a safe until the seal can legitimately be broken and the information revealed.

For a document to be filed under seal, a protective order must be signed or a request by letter must be granted by a judge. A copy of the order or letter must be presented when filing the document.
