Each footnote should appear at the bottom of the page that includes its numbered in-text reference. For note numbers in the text, use superscript. Indent the first line of each note half an inch like a paragraph in the main text. Use a short line (or rule) to separate footnotes from the main text.

If your footnotes keep moving to another page in Word, it's because the contents of the footnote are too large for your page's footer. Your page margins might be too small or the font size might be too big.

To get the footnote separator to appear in the right to left direction, you will need to switch to Draft View and the click on Show Notes in the Footnotes section of the References tab of the ribbon and then from the dropdown in the footnotes page, select Footnote Separator and format the paragraph as right to left.
