Electronic transcripts are considered "official" when we receive them from a secure site formally linked to the sending institution or testing service.

It encapsulates your entire academic performance throughout your degree or education. This is a final certificate you receive after completing your education from an institution. This is proof of education and qualification. Interim transcripts are available before you finish your education at an institution.

Transcripts that have been in the hands of the student such as student copy/unofficial transcripts are not considered official. Unofficial transcripts are printed on plain paper and do not have a college seal or registrar's signature. Unofficial transcripts cannot be used to transfer to another college or university.

An official PDF transcript will be authentic and secure for a recipient regardless of which delivery method you choose.

We must receive your transcript directly from the transcript vendor. Make sure to select UCLA Undergraduate Admission if required by vendor. We won't accept transcripts sent through email as official. If your school doesn't utilize these vendors, you'll need to submit official paper copies of your documents.

In order for transcripts to be considered official they must be: Printed on security paper directly and/or displaying an official raised seal from the college or university, per the institutions standard practice.

Electronic transcripts submitted directly to the Commission from a digital credential service are considered official transcripts.

2022 Beginning Friday April 1, 2022, AMCAS will accept the University of Iowa electronic transcripts sent to AMCASTranscripts@aamc.org.
