Allowable Document Application Online For Free

In order to file Form I-765, you must fall in one of the following eligibility categories: Asylee/Refugee categories. Nationality categories. Foreign student categories. Eligible dependents of employees of diplomatic missions, international organizations or NATO. Employment-based nonimmigrant categories.

You can only file an I-765 application if you're eligible to get a work permit in the United States. People who qualify for work permits include: People with a pending adjustment of status application*

To be eligible to apply for an EAD, you must be: An application for adjustment of status to permanent resident. A spouse of an E1 treaty trader, E2 treaty investor or L1 intra-company transferee. A spouse or a child of a J1 exchange visitor.

Filing Form AR-11, Alien's Change of Address Card, online using the Change of Address webpage. Filing Form AR-11 online will update your address on all pending applications, petitions, or requests that you include on the form. You do not need to mail Form AR-11 if you use the change of address webpage.

Effective immediately, applicants for employment authorization under category (c)(8), Pending Asylum and Withholding of Removal Applicants and Applicants for Pending Asylum under the ABC Settlement Agreement, may file Form I-765 online.

Category (c)(36) is for qualifying dependent spouses and children of a principal beneficiary granted employment authorization under category (c)(35).

Online filing for Form I-765 is only available to certain categories of Form I-765 applicants. If you submit Form I-765 online to apply for an EAD, and you are not filing under an eligible category, USCIS may deny your application without refunding the fee.
