Felony sentences are served in state or federal prisons while misdemeanor sentences are served in county or local jails. Murder in the first degree is the most severe felony in Wyoming and can be punished by life in prison without parole, by life in prison, or by death.
In the judgment of conviction, the court must set forth the plea, the jury verdict or the court's findings, the adjudication, and the sentence. If the defendant is found not guilty or is otherwise entitled to be discharged, the court must so order. The judge must sign the judgment, and the clerk must enter it.
Rule 35 - Physical and mental examinations (a) Order for an Examination. (1) In General. The court where the action is pending may order a party whose mental or physical condition-including blood group-is in controversy to submit to a physical or mental examination by a suitably licensed or certified examiner.
