Washington Motion to Extend Time to Complete Lay Guardian Training/Waive Requirements to Complete Lay Guardian Training (MTA) is a motion submitted by a lay guardian or person responsible for the care of a minor or incapacitated adult in the state of Washington. It is used to request an extension of time to complete the required training, or to waive the training requirements altogether. The motion must be filed in the court where the guardianship is located, and must include evidence of good cause for the requested relief.
