Washington Findings and Conclusions About Parentage is a legal document that is used to establish the parentage of a child who has been born out of wedlock. This document is used for the purpose of child support and custody orders, including establishing the rights and responsibilities of the biological parent(s) and the child. It includes a finding of fact and a conclusion of law by the court regarding the parentage of the child. There are two types of Washington Findings and Conclusions About Parentage: voluntary and involuntary. Voluntary parentage is established through an agreement between the parents and is affirmed by a court order. Involuntary parentage is established by a court order without the consent of the parent(s). Both types of parentage are legally binding and can be used to establish the rights and responsibilities of the parent(s) to the child and the child to the parent(s).
