Texas Certificate of Conversion (General Partnership To Filing Entity) is a document filed with the Texas Secretary of State in order to convert a general partnership into a different type of filing entity, such as a limited liability company, a corporation, or a limited partnership. The certificate must include the name of the general partnership, the date of the conversion, and the type of filing entity that the partnership is converting to. There are three types of Texas Certificate of Conversion: the Certificate of Conversion of a Domestic General Partnership to a Domestic Limited Liability Company, the Certificate of Conversion of a Domestic General Partnership to a Domestic Corporation, and the Certificate of Conversion of a Domestic General Partnership to a Domestic Limited Partnership.
