The Texas Statement of Change of Registered Office Agent is a document filed with the Texas Secretary of State to change the registered office agent. This document must be filed in order to change the name of the registered office agent and/or the address of the registered office. The document must be signed by an officer or manager of the entity or by the registered office agent who is resigning. There are two variations of the Texas Statement of Change of Registered Office Agent: an Amended Statement of Change of Registered Office Agent and a Resignation of Registered Office Agent. The Amended Statement of Change of Registered Office Agent is used to change the name and/or address of the registered office agent and must be signed by an officer or manager of the entity or by the registered office agent who is resigning. The Resignation of Registered Office Agent is used to remove the registered office agent and must be signed by the registered office agent who is resigning.
