A Tennessee Order Accepting Plea of Guilty is a document that is issued by a court in the state of Tennessee when a defendant enters a plea of guilty to a criminal offense. It is a formal declaration by the court that the defendant is admitting to committing a crime and agrees to the punishment specified by the court. There are two types of Tennessee Order Accepting Plea of Guilty: (1) the Order of Conviction which is issued after the defendant pleads guilty and is found guilty of the offense; and (2) the Order of Probation which is issued when the court orders the defendant to enter into a period of probation. Both of these orders must be signed by the court in order to be legally binding.
