The South Carolina First Report of Injury (SCROD) is a form used to report work-related injuries, illnesses, or fatalities to the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission (CSC). This form is completed by an employer or self-insured employer and submitted to the CSC within 10 days of the incident. The SCROD is used to track claims data, provide an initial assessment of medical costs, and collect information that may be used to identify potential safety improvements. There are two types of SCROD forms: SCFROI-1 for injuries, illnesses, or fatalities that occur in South Carolina and SCFROI-2 for injuries, illnesses, or fatalities that occur outside of South Carolina.
