South Carolina Notice of ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) is an official document that is used to notify the parties of a dispute that they must participate in an alternative dispute resolution process in order to resolve the dispute. ADR is an umbrella term that includes mediation, arbitration, collaboration, and negotiation. The Notice of ADR outlines the dispute, identifies the parties involved, and provides instructions on how the process is to be conducted. There are two types of South Carolina Notice of ADR: Mandatory and Voluntary. Mandatory Notice of ADR is required by law in certain situations and must be served on the parties involved prior to the dispute going to court. Voluntary Notice of ADR is issued when the parties involved agree to participate in the alternative dispute resolution process.
