Registration of Participation In World Trade Center Rescue Recovery Clean-Up Operations
New York Registration of Participation in World Trade Center Rescue Recovery Clean-Up Operations is a program designed to honor individuals who participated in the rescue and recovery efforts after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. This registration process is open to all individuals, including first responders, volunteers, and recovery workers, who were active in the rescue and recovery operations, and who can provide documentation of their participation. The two types of New York Registration of Participation In World Trade Center Rescue Recovery Clean-Up Operations are the World Trade Center (WTC) Responders Program and the WTC Recovery Worker Program. The WTC Responders Program is for those who provided rescue, recovery, or cleanup services at the World Trade Center site, the Staten Island Landfill, or the barges in the New York Harbor between September 11, 2001, and May 30, 2002. The WTC Recovery Worker Program is for those who provided recovery services at the World Trade Center site between September 11, 2001, and July 31, 2002. The registration process includes completing and submitting an application, providing proof of participation in the rescue and recovery operations, and providing medical information and/or documentation. Upon completion of the registration process, participants will receive a certificate of appreciation and a WTC Responders or WTC Recovery Worker card. This card serves as a symbol of appreciation and recognition of the individual’s service at the World Trade Center site.
