The New York Affidavit of Compliance with RTL 253 (CIV-GP-73) is a document required by the state of New York when an individual, business, or other entity wants to register a motor vehicle in the state. The affidavit is used to certify that the vehicle is in compliance with the rules and regulations outlined in the New York Vehicle and Traffic Law (RTL) section 253.
