A "letter of recommendation" is required explicitly by an academic programme and should be sent directly to the university by the professor or employer without you seeing it. The document should be 300-400 words long and should present your character, accomplishments and abilities from an objective perspective.

Mississippi State University considers the SAT Essay/ACT Writing section optional and may not include it as part of their admissions consideration. You don't need to worry too much about Writing for this school, but other schools you're applying to may require it.

A minimum 3.20 grade-point average on the CPC. A minimum 2.50 grade-point average on the CPC and a composite score of 16 or higher on the ACT or a combined score of 880 or higher on the SAT.
