An Indiana Redaction Statement is a form issued by the Indiana Supreme Court that allows for the filing of records in civil and criminal cases that have been redacted, or altered, to remove confidential information. It is used to protect the privacy of individuals involved in the case. There are three types of Indiana Redaction Statement: Unredacted, Redacted With Notice, and Redacted Without Notice. Unredacted statements include all information that is publicly available in the court record, including the name of the parties and details of the proceedings. Redacted With Notice is a version of the statement that has some information removed and requires a notice to be attached to the document outlining what has been redacted. Redacted Without Notice is a version of the statement that has all information removed and does not require a notice.
