The COR is designed to ensure that businesses and individuals are in compliance with the state’s rules and regulations before they can operate legally. The Illinois Department of Revenue issues the COR. The COR is an important document for any business or individual that wants to operate in Illinois legally. It is used as proof of compliance with the state’s requirements for businesses and individuals. The Specific COR is for businesses or individuals that are in compliance with specific laws and regulations of the State of Illinois. The Non-Resident COR is for businesses or individuals that are operating from outside the State of Illinois but are still subject to the laws and regulations of the State of Illinois.
