Iowa Full Commutation 14-0013 is a program that provides up to 100% commutation of a criminal sentence for individuals who have been convicted of a felony in the state of Iowa. The program is open to all individuals who have been convicted of a felony in Iowa and are currently serving a sentence or on parole. It is not limited to a certain type of offense. There are two types of Iowa Full Commutation 14-0013: a Partial Commutation and a Full Commutation. The Partial Commutation reduces the sentence to a recommended period of time determined by the Department of Corrections and allows for parole eligibility. The Full Commutation completely eliminates the criminal sentence and any associated parole or probation. In order to be eligible for either type of commutation, an applicant must meet certain criteria, such as being an Iowa resident, having now pending criminal charges, and having no convictions for a violent offense within the past five years.
