The Florida Notice of Confidential Information Within Court Filing is a document used to protect sensitive information included in a court filing. This document is used to alert the court that a filing contains confidential information that should not be made available to the public. By filing this notice, the filer is able to request that the confidential information is not disclosed and that the court treats it as confidential. There are two types of Florida Notice of Confidential Information Within Court Filing: the “Notice of Confidential Information Within Court Filing”, which is used when filing a pleading or motion, and the “Notice of Confidential Information With Respect to Court Order”, which is used when filing an order or judgment. Each notice must be filed separately, and must be accompanied by a redacted version of the filing that does not contain confidential information. The Notice of Confidential Information Within Court Filing must contain the following information: the title of the case, the name of the court, the case number, the title of the pleading or motion containing confidential information, the names of the parties involved, and a description of the confidential information. The Notice of Confidential Information With Respect to Court Order must contain the same information, as well as the title of the order or judgment. Once the Notice of Confidential Information Within Court Filing is filed, the court will review the filing and determine whether the confidential information should remain confidential. If the court finds that the confidential information should remain confidential, the court will issue an order sealing the information and prohibiting its disclosure.
