Both are nice. The Aloft to me has nicer rooms, but the Element rooms are larger. I found the Element (where I stayed) to feel more industrial in the rooms. The 'King Studio' I was in felt like a basic hotel room with a mini-fridge and doesn't look anything like the one in the picture.
