High-Capacity Magazine Restrictions On July 1, 2022, a law prohibiting the sale, attempted sale, manufacture and distribution of high-capacity magazines that hold more than 10 rounds went into effect in Washington. The law does not prohibit the possession of high-capacity magazines.
Open Carry is legal but you must have a valid permit/license to carry a loaded handgun in any vehicle in Washington. This includes cars, buses and trains. You can keep the firearm holstered with empty chamber on your hip in your vehicle (can't be concealed) but the loaded mag must be removed.
Except in your home or fixed place of business, and subject to the exceptions listed in RCW 9.41. 060, under RCW 9.41. 050 you cannot carry a pistol concealed on your person in Washington without a license or permit to carry a concealed pistol.

Even in places where open carry is allowed, state law prohibits individuals from the following actions: Carrying, exhibiting, displaying, or drawing a firearm in a manner that manifests an intent to intimidate another person or that warrants alarm for the safety of other persons (RCW 9.41. 270).

The Washington Concealed Pistol License allows you to concealed carry a loaded pistol on your person in your vehicle. Without a license, you must keep the firearm unloaded and out of view.
