FWHS is not currently accepting Wait List applications. We encourage you to visit our Properties page and contact one of our affordable Fort Worth communities directly to determine whether you may qualify for reduced rent based on income.
To qualify for our program you must place your name on our waiting list and meet HUD income eligibility requirements. The wait may be up to 24 months, depending on our funding levels.
Section 8 Waiting List is currently closed at this time.
There is no fast way. However, if the section 8 wait list is open go ahead and apply for it and hud housing. The good news, is that having a child and being disabled will put you higher list. You should check to see if there is a rapid rehousing program in your area.
The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) formerly Section 8 Wait List for Tarrant County Housing Assistance Office is currently CLOSED. DO NOT provide personal information to any website or social media page claiming otherwise.
If you already have a roommate or roommate group in mind, you have the option to “join a group” by searching for that group name or by UT EID to request a specific student. Many students opt for a random roommate assignment (the “potluck” option).
As soon as you receive your acceptance letter from Undergraduate Admissions you will be able to submit the housing contract online through the Housing Portal. The sooner you submit the contract, the better chances you have for getting your top choice of hall.
