Although there is no curfew for the residence halls, the City of Reno has a curfew for minors from pm to am in the downtown area and midnight to 5am in all other areas. For more information please refer to the specific municipal code (Title 8, Chapter 8.16).

You may not be allowed to have an air fryer, but your living arrangement doesn't need to hinder your culinary creativity. Some dorms may have restrictions on appliances with heating elements due to fire hazards, so it's important to check the rules and regulations set by your housing department.

This includes common appliances such as crock/Instant pots, air fryers, rice cookers, toasters/toaster ovens, hot plates and all types of electric grills. Please see the Residence Hall Manual for the full list of banned kitchen appliances.

No pets are allowed in the residence halls, either on a permanent or visitation basis. You may keep goldfish or tropical fish in reasonable numbers, no larger than a ten-gallon tank.

While first-year students are guaranteed housing if they apply by June 15, applying early is the best way to position yourself to receive one of your top housing and/or roommate preferences.

They will leave it at the post box or area assigned to your apartment number. If you live in a multi storied apartment building, they will NOT drop it off at your apartment door. The apartment building should have a safe or secure postal area where the mail is dropped off.
