Description

The Educational Assistance Program for Employees is designed to support eligible employees in Philadelphia by enhancing their skills and performance through educational courses. Key features of this program include reimbursement for tuition and registration fees associated with courses from accredited institutions, limited to a set number of credits per semester. Full-time employees with at least one year of service can participate, as long as the courses are relevant to their current job or future roles within the company. The reimbursement structure is tiered based on the grades received, with higher reimbursements for top grades. To access these benefits, employees must submit a tuition reimbursement form, obtain approval from their supervisors, and provide proof of grade and payment after course completion. Specific use cases for this form include attorneys seeking to enhance their legal knowledge, paralegals aiming for additional certifications, and associates looking to fulfill continuing education requirements. By encouraging further education, the program ultimately aims to benefit both employees and the organization by fostering professional growth.

To be considered for a PA State Grant, you must fill out the FAFSA. If you are a first-time applicant, you must also complete the PA State Grant Form and High School Form. Most renewal students will not have to complete the PA State Grant Form and High School Form.

Students receive a letter from PHEAA several weeks after the FAFSA has been processed. If you are eligible, your grant will be applied to your account in approximately the 10th week of class. Students who have not received their PHEAA State Grant by this time may check with the Office of Financial Aid for the status.

Apply for the PA State Grant Program Complete your FAFSA by the appropriate filing deadline. Wait for an email from PHEAA with a link to activate your PA State Grant System account. The email will come from NoReply@grantus.pheaa and be sent to the email address you used on the FAFSA.

The FAFSA is used for the PA State Grant application process, as well as several additional programs we administer. Once you submit the FAFSA, PHEAA will trigger the next step in the PA State Grant process. Renewal students shouldn't have any other actions to complete.

Am I Eligible? Are a high school graduate as stipulated in the PA State Grant law. Attend a postsecondary school approved by PHEAA for PA State Grant purposes. Are enrolled at least half-time (defined as at least 6 semester credits but less than 12 semester credits per semester, or the equivalent)

PHEAA determines the amount of a student's PA State Grant. The maximum grant for 2024–2025 is $5,260. Students are limited to receiving no more than eight full-time semesters' worth of PASG funding—or the equivalent in less than full-time status. Summer grants will count against this overall limit.
