The Helen Miller SEIU Member Education and Training Center was founded in 2007 to provide training for Child Care Providers and Healthcare Workers. Since its founding, over 150,000 participants have attended training sessions. Classes are offered online and in-person.
An EAP— sometimes called a tuition reimbursement program—enables employers to fund their employees' higher education courses. For example, you might choose to fully or partially fund your employees' undergraduate or graduate degrees, professional development or skills-building courses, or vocational certifications.
Students typically need 12 credit hours as an undergraduate student to be considered full time. (Graduate students are considered full time at eight credit hours.)
Achieving a cumulative GPA of a 2.00 or higher takes you off academic probation and you are considered in good academic standing with the University.

The Tuition Incentive Program (TIP) Obtain a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent prior to age 20. Students who attend a state-approved Early/Middle College have until age 21 to graduate and complete a TIP application. Be a Michigan resident as determined by institutional criteria.
Federal EAP's are the first component of an Employee Wellness Program and should be designed to support and uplift the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, which include emotional, physical, occupational, intellectual, financial, social, environmental, and psychological aspects.
Similar to EAPs, a resource provided to members giving them access to counseling and referral services to assist with problems they may be having which negatively impact job performance. The union or business pays for this service for its members.
