Who is eligible for tuition assistance? All four service branches and the U.S. Coast Guard offer financial assistance for voluntary, off-duty education programs in support of service members' personal and professional goals. The program is open to officers, warrant officers and enlisted active-duty service personnel.

These vouchers may be provided to eligible youth to help fund their post-secondary educational and training endeavors. Funds from this source are called Education and Training Vouchers (ETV). Youth eligible for this funding opportunity must meet Michigan's Youth in Transition (YIT) fund eligibility requirements.

To qualify for in-state tuition at the University of Michigan on the basis of being a Michigan resident, you must establish that Michigan is your permanent legal residence.

To be eligible for an award, a student must: File a FAFSA prior to the MTG application deadline. Demonstrate financial need. Be enrolled in at least six credit hours at a participating institution.

Michigan Achievement Scholarship Those who qualify could receive: Up to $5,500 if they attend a Michigan public university, private college or university or are enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program at a Michigan community college, per year, up to five years.

To be eligible for an award, a student must: File a current-year FAFSA.  If student graduated prior to 2020, must have also completed a TIP application by August 31 of graduating year. Be enrolled in at least six credit hours within your degree or certificate program at a participating institution.

The Michigan Tuition Grant is available to undergraduate Michigan residents with financial need who plan to attend or are attending a Michigan degree-granting, non-profit independent college.
