Tuition Waiver Program The State of Florida Employee Educational Assistance Program allows each state university and community college to waive tuition and fees for state employees to enroll in up to 6 credit hours of courses per term. However, participation is subject to space-availability.

As a Presidential Scholar, you must fulfill certain requirements to remain eligible to continue to receive the award including: 1) successfully completing a minimum of 12 semester hours each semester and 2) obtaining either a 3.25 semester or cumulative GPA every semester or term.
Have a cumulative high school weighted GPA of 3.50 or above. Students must be admitted to MDC and registered for 12 or more credits for the Fall semester. Be enrolled in an A.A. or A.S. degree program. Complete the 2025-2026 Federal Financial Aid Application (FAFSA).
Who is eligible? For an undergraduate (Bachelor's) degree, candidates must be 29 years old or under when they apply. For a graduate (Master's) degree, candidates must be 35 years old or under when they apply. In addition, each university has its own eligibility criteria.
