Criteria In Utah, reclassification, or exit criteria, is based on the following two criteria: 1) ELs receive a minimum overall composite score of 4.2, and 2) a minimum score of 3.5 in the speaking domain on the annual WIDA ACCESS for ELs assessment.

An official ACT or SAT score is required if you are applying from a non-accredited US high school, Home School, or if you took the GED or HiSET exam to earn the equivalent of a high school diploma. For all other applicants, ACT or SAT score submission is optional.

The acceptance rate at University of Utah is 87.2%. This means the school is lightly selective. The school will have their expected requirements for GPA and SAT/ACT scores. If you meet their requirements, you're almost certain to get an offer of admission.
While there is no minimum GPA to be admitted, 75% of freshmen admits to the U over the last few years had an unweighted high school GPA of 3.5 or higher.
