County Court Jurisdictional Changes County court jurisdictional thresholds increase to $30,000 on January 1, 2020, and to $50,000 on January 1, 2023. Filers will be required to include a civil cover sheet specifying the dollar amount in dispute in cases exceeding $8,000 in value.
Florida Circuit Civil Courts have jurisdiction in all civil actions exceeding $50,000. Florida County Courts have jurisdiction in civil actions which do not exceed $50,000, small claims (i.e., civil actions under $8,000) and most landlord / tenant actions. Most county court appeals are heard at the appellate court.
Proposed orders for all Civil Court case types must be submitted directly to the court through the 15th Judicial Circuit's Online Scheduling System (OLS). Proposed orders cannot be submitted in person, by mail, by fax or by email to the court or to the Clerk's office.

Per the Florida Building Code, sheds 200 square feet or less and used exclusively for storage purposes are exempt from permitting requirements.
Sheds or accessory structures 6'x6'x6' or smaller are exempt from building permit requirements. Vinyl and other lightweight product sheds or accessory structure are intended to be removable and are not permanent structures.
