Currently, two self-regulating bodies, the All India Gaming Federation 'AIGF' and the Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports 'FIFS', have issued charters to regulate online gaming for their respective members.
Self-regulatory bodies will be registered with the Ministry and may register online games of such online gaming intermediaries who are its members and which meet certain criteria. Such bodies will also resolve complaints through a grievance redressal mechanism.
Obtaining a License for Online Gaming in India Application fees: INR 50,000/- One time fees. Annual license fees: INR 1,000,000/- p.a. for first 3 years per game and INR 2,000,000/- p.a. for next 2 years. Royalty: 0.5% of the gross revenue (less service tax) generated by the business which has obtained the license.
