After months of deliberation, public hearings and committee work sessions, the Montgomery County Council on Thursday approved a $7.1 billion county budget for fiscal year 2025, which begins July 1.

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich has transmitted his $5.852 billion Recommended Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Capital Budget and Amendments to the FY25-30 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) to the County Council.
