Due to the enactment of the America Invents Act in 2012, this page contains forms for patent applications filed on or after September 16, 2012. The submission shall be entirely in writing or in tangible form such as a sample or model.Use TI= to search in the title, AB= for the abstract, CL= for the claims, or TAC= for all three. For example, TI=(safety belt). An abstract should not be longer than 150 words. Black and white drawings are normally required. A complete, comprehensive written description of the invention is needed. Formal drawings are not required. An invention disclosure form (IDF) captures an invention and surrounding details with the intent of possibly patenting. Franklin was also an avid inventor, though he never patented any of his inventions.
