In an attempt to address this challenge, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) adopted the Advanced Clean Cars II rule on August 25, 2022. The rule requires that by 2035, 100 percent of new cars and light-duty trucks sold in California must be ZEVs or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
It saw almost all the world's nations agree to cut the greenhouse gas emissions which cause global warming. Adopted by 194 parties (193 countries plus the EU) in the French capital on 12 December 2015, the Paris Agreement came into force on 4 November 2016.
The CPRG planning grant and process will cover all of Virginia and include ways to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) and other air pollutants in two phases: Development of a Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP) to identify near-term and high impact projects to reduce GHG and other air pollutant emissions.
National Action Plan for Climate Change (NAPCC) is a Government of India's programme launched in 2008 to mitigate and adapt to the adverse impact of climate change. The action plan is designed and published under the guidance of Prime Minister's Council on Climate Change (PMCCC).
The County Climate Change Action Plan(CCCAP) is a five-year development plan that details goals, programmes and projects that will guide the planning and budgeting process of the County's climate change actions in the periods 2023-2027.
CAPs typically establish GHG-reduction targets and use a community GHG emissions inventory as a baseline for setting those targets. CAPs also identify emissions reduction policies and strategies by sector (e.g., transportation/land use, buildings, waste reduction, agriculture, and municipal operations).
CECAP is a community-driven plan that addresses the causes of climate change. The plan sets ambitious but achievable greenhouse gas reduction goals for our community, including an overarching goal to reduce our emissions by half by 2030 and achieve carbon-neutrality by 2050.
EPA works with industry and others to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through regulatory initiatives and partnership programs. Within the Agency, EPA implements a range of strategies to reduce its own greenhouse gas emissions, increase energy efficiency, and take other steps to reduce its carbon footprint.
Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg (Swedish pronunciation: ˈɡrêːta ˈtʉ̂ːnbærj; born 3 January 2003) is a Swedish environmental activist known for challenging world leaders to take immediate action to mitigate the effects of human-caused climate change.
Individuals can also play a part by making better choices about where they get their energy, how they travel, and what food they eat. But the best way for anyone to help stop climate change is to take collective action. This means pressuring governments and corporations to change their policies and business practices.
