To return a gift, use the Returns Center or Gift Returns page. Enter the order number, select items to return, choose a return method, and follow on-screen instructions.
Printing an Amazon Physical Store Receipt On a laptop or desktop computer, go to Your Orders. Click on Order Details next to the order. Click Transactions. Click the Print button in your browser.
Go to Your Orders. Find the item and select Share gift receipt. Select the link provided. Choose how you want to send the gift receipt to the recipient, for example, email, chat, SMS or any other.
Here, you'll be prompted to enter a 17-digit order number which can be found on the packing slip or digital gift receipt.
Items purchased by adding to cart on the Gift List will be automatically marked as purchased. If the item is ordered outside of the Gift List, it won't be marked as purchased on the Gift List.
To return a gift, use the Returns Center or Gift Returns page. Enter the order number, select items to return, choose a return method, and follow on-screen instructions. Gift recipients get refunds as Amazon Gift Cards. Ensure items are in original condition for full refunds.
Upload your receipt: Tap “Upload receipt” while on the offer details screen. Use the Amazon Shopper Panel app to take pictures or upload pictures of paper receipts.
Select Add to Cart on the product detail page. Check the This will be a gift box. Select Proceed to Checkout. Select a shipping address from your list or add a new one by selecting Enter a new delivery address.
Oh, and ... the sender won't know you returned your gift. Since you can get your refund on an Amazon gift card, the person whose gift you're returning will never be notified or alerted — unless of course they don't see you wearing that sweater they gave you the next time you go to brunch ...
Most often, the gift-giver won't know when you make a return since Amazon doesn't send a notification to the purchaser (exceptions include items valued at more than $2,000). To initiate a return, you'll first need to head to the Returns Center where you'll be prompted to enter a 17-digit order number.
