More than a decade in the making, Home Depot has officially opened its doors in the City of Maricopa. The retailer is the start to a new wave of development across the city, bringing excitement for more local jobs and a shorter commute.
Growth Statistics The growth of Maricopa has slowed to a manageable pace and is expected to continue at a steady rate of growth with roughly a 4% increase in new residents each year through 2030. The Home Depot Expands Pro Ecosystem With Four New Distribution Centers Designed to Bring Convenience and Reliability to Pro Customers. ATLANTA, March 14, 2024 – The Home Depot is opening four new distribution centers, expanding its pro ecosystem to Detroit, southern Los Angeles, San Antonio and Toronto in 2024.
Phase I of the project, South Bridge Marketplace, will be located on the eastern 12 acres and is planned to house a 130,000-square-foot Home Improvement store. Construction is scheduled to begin on this Phase in April 2024.

13, 2024. Photos by Bryan Mordt. Nearly a year after it first announced its expansion into Maricopa, Lowe's Home Improvement has finally started construction on what will be a 139,000-square-foot hardware store and garden center.
