'Construction dispute resolution' is an umbrella term for the process used to deal with and settle a conflict that arises out of a project involving stakeholders to a construction contract – for example, property owners, suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.

If the parties opt for arbitration, they must choose a neutral third party with the relevant experience to bring them to an amicable solution.

"A dispute having arisen between the parties concerning , the parties hereby agree that the dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the LCIA Rules. The number of arbitrators shall be one/three. The seat, or legal place, of arbitration shall be City and/or Country.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this contract shall, at first instance, be referred to a mediator for resolution. The parties shall attempt to agree upon the appointment of a mediator, upon receipt, by either of them, of a written notice to concur in such appointment.
