Almost all broadband and landline providers hike their prices annually, usually to keep costs in line with inflation. BT is no exception. Like many broadband and landline providers, BT adjusts its prices annually, often in step with inflationary trends.
To cancel your BT broadband contract, call BT on 0800 783 1401. Or if you are outside the UK, call +44 150 174 7714. You need to provide BT with 30 days' notice before you leave. So, your BT broadband will be disconnected 30 days after you call the company and cancel your service.
Contact the business and say you want to cancel the contract because you're still in the cooling-off period. You'll probably need to give them details such as your account reference number - check any documents or emails you have from the company.
Once your contract ends your service will continue, but you can cancel without paying any fees. Shows your usage – for example, calls you've made, data you've used, or films you've brought. You'll get charged £0 if that usage is included in your package allowance.
Your contract end date is listed under each product or service on your bill. Once your contract ends your service will continue, but you can cancel without paying any fees. Shows your usage – for example, calls you've made, data you've used, or films you've brought.
Most of our contracts are 24 months, but we do have some that are 18. Our BT Mobile contracts are mainly 12 months for SIM Only and 24 months for handset plans. New BT mobile customers can no longer take out SIM Only plans or Handset plans. Existing customers can upgrade or regrade through our contact centre.
If you recontract or upgrade either your phone landline service or your EE TV service (and you already have BT Broadband), then your broadband service will automatically recontract. This is so that you can enjoy these services for the full duration of the new contract without any problems or technical issues.
