Goods Spent Whenever a good is spent, its point value will be added to the ranking (research tree, Great Buildings, sector negotiation, donations to the Guild Treasury and so on).

You'll naturally get medals just from placing down main event buildings and using Victory Towers to fill in gaps at the end of the road. Medals can only be used for two things (expansions and GvG) neither of which are that big of a deal due to how it scales up.

Generally you advance your city to increase the number of forge points (fps) you can collect from it each day. This can mean adding levels to forge point generating great buildings or adding buildings won from events or GE that make forge points.

Goods are produced in goods buildings. They are unlocked through advancing in the technology tree.

Forge points are mainly used to research technologies and upgrade Great Buildings.

In Age of Empires, trade is only possible between Docks, with Trade Boats or Merchant Ships. Note that, unlike in later games, trade costs resources, and Docks take 20 seconds to resupply traded resources.
