Supplies can be earned from completing quests. Some quests have supplies as a reward, while others have a random reward with a chance of it being supplies (for example recurring quests). The supplies earned from random rewards increase when the player progresses through the ages.

In the middle of that header you find your current era and your Forge Points. You will use those Forge Points to research new technologies and for trading with other players. If you click on that plus symbol, you can buy them for coins (which you generate yourself) or for diamonds (premium currency of the game).
You can get blueprints from aiding other players, quest prizes, or being among the top contributors to another player's great building. If you've leveled to higher ages too fast, take a break from leveling and focus on getting your buildings caught up.
1 forge point every hour up to a maximum of ten. Should players forge points count reach ten, the timer will stop.
