Article 8: Laws inconsistent with or in derogation of fundamental rights to be void: Article 8 establishes the supremacy of fundamental rights, stating that any law that is inconsistent with or derogatory to these rights shall be considered void.

In its age of 21 years, the Constitution, that was adopted in April, 1973, has suffered 34 amendments; 10 times by the Acts of Parliament and 24 times through Presidential Orders.

The first section of Article 6 states that any person who abrogates or subverts or suspends or holds in abeyance the constitution by use of force or show of force shall be guilty of high treason. This means that any act that directly undermines the Constitution of Pakistan by force or coercion is considered treason.

Article 4 provides for the right of individual to enjoy the protection of law and to be treated in ance with the law. This applies to the citizens as well as “to every other person for the time being within Pakistan” without distinction.

The IV Amendment decreed the seats for minorities and non-Muslims representation to the government of Pakistan and the Parliament of Pakistan, to protect the minority rights in the country.

Article IV Relationships Between the States Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof.
