Residents who have received a jury summons in the mail will use the eResponse Online Jury Services system to do the following: Complete the jury questionnaire Please Note: You will need to keep the summons postcard to bring with you on your jury service date. Get a one-time deferment.
Reasons for Being Excused from Jury Service Medical reasons. Public necessity. Undue hardship. Dependent care. Student Status. Military conflict. Other reason deemed sufficient by the court.

Exemptions: While not required, individuals may choose to be excused from jury duty if they are over 75 years old, have legal custody of a child under 12 without adequate supervision, or are full-time students.
For jurors selected to serve on a jury, compensation is set at $58 per day, or part of a day, until the completion of their service. A check will be issued to the address to which your summons was originally mailed unless you specify an alternative address.
