The amount of time a household spends on the waitlist depends on many factors, and some household characteristics may be prioritized over others. Some applicants may remain on PHA Section 8 waiting lists for years before finally receiving their housing choice voucher.
Eligibility & Requirements Each person must be at least 18 years old and competent to sign a contract. Neither person is married under Florida law, has a domestic partner or is a member of another civil union. They are not related by blood.
There is no fast way. However, if the section 8 wait list is open go ahead and apply for it and hud housing. The good news, is that having a child and being disabled will put you higher list. You should check to see if there is a rapid rehousing program in your area.
A domestic partner affidavit is a declaration made by a couple to acknowledge that they are engaged in a domestic partnership under state law. This gives each partner special rights (such as hospital visitation, inheritance, etc.) without being legally married.
The application process is now closed. Application assistance was available at the locations listed below from October 15, 2024, and November 11, 2024.
