Childcare Vouchers can be used to pay for a wide range of childcare including: Home based care such as childminders, nannies and au pairs. Pre-school care such as nursery schools, play schools and creches. Care for older children such as out of school clubs (breakfast clubs, afterschool clubs) and holiday clubs.
The Child Care Scholarship Program (formerly known as the SC Voucher Program) makes payments to child care providers to care for children from low-income families so their parents can work.
SC Working Families Child Care Scholarship have a gross income at or below 85% of the state median income level; for a family of four this would be up to $76,272 annually.

If a parent qualifies, vouchers will be paid directly to the child care providers. Parent must choose a provider that is enrolled in the ABC Quality program. ABC Quality providers already have an established weekly voucher rate based on their quality level.
